Easy to make in under an hour, you'll love these peanut butter blondies!

Why we love Peanut Butter Blondies

Peanut Butter Blondies are the ultimate dessert! Here's why we love them so much:

  • Made with pantry staples: You probably have everything you need to make these blondies already
  • The best texture: These blondies are gooey in the center and crispy on the top!

What is the difference between a brownie and a blondie? A brownie is made with a chocolate/cocoa powder base, while a blondie is made with a plain cookie base.

Tips for Chewy Peanut Butter Blondies

  • Don’t overmix: Whatever you do, don’t overmix the ingredients at the last step. If you over mix, this can make the blondies too sticky or add too many air bubbles.
  • Tap the pan on the counter: Just in case, after you’ve leveled out the batter in the pan, give it a few taps on the counter in order to settle the batter and remove any air bubbles.
  • Take the brownies out on time: Don’t overcook the blondies. As soon as a toothpick comes out clean after being stuck in the middle, remove them from the oven. Food continues to cook once removed from the oven so, don’t wait too long or your blondies will end up rock hard or burnt.

Peanut Butter Blondie Variations:

  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt

Brown Sugar: I haven't tried substituting brown sugar for white sugar but I think it would work in this recipe

Butter: Butter is essential to this recipe. We haven't tried it with dairy free butter.

Egg Whites: We don't recommend substituting eggs, but you can read this article on Egg Substitutions for Baking if you need to substitute.

Vanilla Extract: Helps to add flavor, we don't recommend substituting.

Peanut Butter: Make sure to use creamy peanut butter. Do not use chunky peanut butter. It's best to not use all natural peanut butter. Skippy peanut butter works best in this recipe.

All Purpose Flour: We don't recommend substituting the flour, but you can check out this article on Cake Flour vs. All-Purpose Flour or Substitutions for All-Purpose Flour

Baking Powder: and baking soda are essential for this recipe. Do NOT substitute

Add ins: You can add in ½ cup of chocolate chips or peanut butter chips. Chopped peanuts would also be delicious!
